Smiling a bit at his words, Sibeal forced herself to take a step back. This was new, dangerous territory and for once, she was unsure of her footing. It was one thing to play the flirt.. It was something else to follow through. For all that she was attracted to this man, there were still shadows in the past that had to be dealt with.
"Well, that is my job you know.... Driving men crazy, that is...." she said with an impish grin. "its part of the job description I think..."
Slipping back into a roll that was easy for her and one that didn't require her to go out on a ledge, she continued.
"Thank you very much for the ride home... and the help with my hand.... I think, for both our sakes, we'd better say goodnight now though.... I'm exhausted and ready for a few hours sleep and I imagine you will have to be up early with your gym. I know lots of people like to work out in the early hours of morning.... Never been much of a morning person myself but.... To each his own."
Smiling to show she meant no insult by saying goodnight, she meet his gaze and gave him a wink.
"Next time... Maybe we can plan things a bit better so we have more time to get to know each other....."

A wicked smile showed up on him as she spoke. It was true, she was driving him crazy. Her eyes, her mouth, every curve of her body was luring him in like a siren’s call that made it impossible for him to resist. Not that Julian was making any effort to resist however. Since the first time he had seen her on the stage, he had wanted to kiss her and more.
But as he moved in for another kiss, he saw her backing down and a frown settled on his features. Was something wrong, did he misread the signals? No, he was sure he had felt the spark between them.
As she spoke again he was unable to hide his confusion. Was she sending him away? To the hell with the gym, he was the boss and he could keep it closed if he wanted…but yes, she was sending him home. And needless to say, it left Jules disappointed and confused. Did she think it over and decided she didn’t want any further involvement with him? He wasn’t the one that could read thoughts, it was impossible for him to understanding what went on without knowing her reasons.
“Yeah, maybe…” he said running a hand trough his hair. “I guess it’s time for me to go,” he added as he walked towards the door. “Take care of that hand.”
Letting himself off, he tried to act as if nothing had happened but he did feel awkward and confused about it. Part of it was because he wasn’t good in relationships, and that was the first time he was actually letting his guard down. Look where it got him…
Jumping on his bike, he started the engine and took the road towards the gym. He doubted any guy could ever claim to understand a woman's mind.
