(Ellen used with permission)
Shaking her head at the woman, Lexi gave Jess and Dean a smile before leading the worried mother through the club. She could practically feel her breathing fire at her back and she hoped that her presence wouldn't send Jo into preterm labor. The last thing her friend needed right now with her husband gone was a mothers lecture.
Reaching the stairs leading up to the VIP section, the blond glanced up and saw Bobby trying to fade into the background. He probably knew what she did... If Ellen caught sight of him first, he was going to be in for it too! As she stepped up on the top level, Lexi's eyes went towards the table housing Syria, Max and Jo. Her gaze was apologetic as she walked towards them and saw Jo's eyes widen at the sight of her mother.
"Hey guys.... Guess who decided to crash the party?" she said a bit wryly and got a swift smack on the back of her head for her trouble. Reaching up, she rubbed the offended spot and glared at the older woman wondering how on earth she could still make her feel like a child barely out of leading strings. "Max... I don't believe you've met Jo's Mom, Ellen Harvelle. Ellen, my husband Max Blair... The dark haired lady is Syria.... and of course.. you know Jo Jordan."
Putting an extra emphasis on her friends last name, she gave her as much support as she could. After all, Ellen did have the power to make a grown man quiver in his boots. Lexi was made of sterner stuff but you just didn't ever forgot someone whos rath struck terror in your heart as a kid.
At that moment, one of the waitress's came to Lexi's shoulder and whispered in her ear. A sexy grin spread over her face as she nodded and then arched a finger at her husband.
"As much as I would like to stay and help make Ellen welcome... Erik is asking for me down by the stage. When my partner calls, I had better go. Its my turn to take over for a bit so... Max? Would you care to come with me? I have something I need to talk to you about. Syria, Erik asked me to bring you along too..."
Giving Jo a look that told her to hollar if she needed her, the young woman turned on her heel and let the mother and daughter have some long overdue privacy for their "reunion".

Sibeal smiled as she slipped her hand into Julians and allowed him to lead her to the floor. The place was packed but that seemed to fit her mood and allowed their bodies to press together as she began to move to the beat. In hindsight, she often thought that it had been a damned good thing she did enjoy it so much and was a natural since it had supported her all her grown life. More than one girl had gotten burnt out but Sibeal only had to close her eyes to feel the beat in her soul. Her body's movement just instinctively followed. Reaching up, the pretty blond wrapped her arms around the boxers neck and rested her lithe body against his just as the band launched into a slower song. As the first lyrics rang out, she felt the truth in them and raised her eyes to meet his. "I think I've walked too close to loveAnd now I'm falling in There's so many things this weary soul can't take Maybe you just caught me by surprise The first time that I looked into your eyes
There's a life inside of me That I can feel again It's the only thing that takes me Where I've never been I don't care if I lost everything that I have known Cause it don't matter where I lay my head tonight Your arms feel like home You feel like home"
As the song played on, Sibeal knew that she was lost. She had never felt like this about a man... EVER. Although Julian was the first and only man she had voluntarily been with, she couldn't imagine ever being with another like she was with him. He made her feel safe and protected. Laying her head on his chest, she closed her eyes and continued to move to the music as the words rang in her heart. "This life aint the fairy tale we both thought it would be But i can see your smiling face as it's staring back at me I know we both see these changes now I know we both understand somehow
There's a life inside of me That I can feel again It's the only thing that takes me Where I've never been I don't care if I lost everything that I have known It don't matter where I lay my head tonight Your arms feel like home They feel like home (hold on, you're home to me)"

Sammie was in heaven. The beat of the music, the flood of the club noise, and a good looking guy wrapping his arm about her. Yeah, this was the stuff life was made for. The bouncer at the door had left them in immediately after Sam had given his name but that hadn't suprised her since he'd told her he knew the owner. It had merely made her smile and arch a brow playfully at him.
Placing her hand into Sam's outstretched one, the pretty brunette happily followed along as he pulled her through the crowd, keep her close. It was already packed and the young woman couldn't believe how many people were already there. When they found a break in the fray and he asked her what she'd like to do she was thoughtful for a moment.
"Let's go get a drink first I guess. My brother should be here. We could try to find him later. But, lets get a drink and try and find a place to sit first. That OK with you?"
Grinning wickedly, Sammie couldnt help leaning up on tip toe to whisper something just a bit naughty about what she'd REALLY like to do in his ear before laughing at his expression and nodding towards the bar. The imp in her just couldn't help teasing him after coming to the realization that it was the one subject that he seemed a bit.. uncertain about. She actually found it quiet endearing but she was to much of a tease to let it go by unnoticed.
"Lets get that drink then if you aren't up to it..." she laughed. " and as far as a seat... That might be expecting the impossible with this crush!"
Slipping her own arm around his waist, Sammie moved closer to get out of the way of a drunken frat kid who was already staggering around.
"Wow.... How much you want to bet hes not going to be remembering much of the night?" she said, watching him continue on before moving towards the bar with her date.
Reaching the long counter, the pretty brunette leaned on the counter and eyed the whiskey. When the bartender came over, she smiled and ordered a Crown and Coke before leaning against her dark haired companion again and watching the going ons around her.

Right before Ellen joined them, Jessie had glanced sideways at Dean and seen a funny expression on his face. Frowning a bit, she'd followed his line of sight and felt her heart trip over a bit. He was staring at the same young woman she'd noticed earlier and it was obvious that he felt something for her. However, before she could say anything, Jo's mother arrived and she was forced to turn her attention to the moment.
The moment Ellen has started in, Jess had slid a bit behind Dean hoping not to draw any notice. She had a feeling if anyone could get a hold of dear old Dad, it would be Ellen and she knew that she would include everything she saw in her report. Her only saving grace was the fact that it seemed like she wasn't expected to reply as Ellen turned to blast Lexi. The blond however stood her ground and gave as good as she got. Jessie would have been shaking in her boots if she'd been in the new mothers shoes. Finally, the pair moved off and Jessie could let out a sigh of relief before looking at Dean.
”I see that you know Ellen too.”Then he started to chuckle, ”Do we follow and see if we can help Jo? Or do we run for protective ground now?”
Forcing a smile, Jess slid from her barstool and finished off her drink as she hid her eyes. Her mind was turning as she debated what to do and then decided the best course of action was to get this over with.
"Actually.... I need to use the ladies room and ... I think there is someone that you need to talk to. Why don't I excuse myself for a bit and then meet you up in the VIP section?"
Keeping her tone level and none aggressive, the huntress glanced meaningfully over his shoulder so that he would have no doubts what she meant and then moved close enough that she could press a kiss on his lips before backing away. Her eyes were too knowing as she meet his but she smiled and gave his hand a squeeze.
"I'll be upstairs if you need me, OK? I think it would be better though if I let you do this alone."
Then, turning away, she moved off into the crowd as if her heart wasn't breaking the least little bit. She was smart enough to realize that she wasn't the only woman who'd ever been in Dean's life and she knew that this woman meant something to him. There was no way she would try to hold him down if it wasn't meant to be... But she sincerely hoped she hadn't gotten in further than what she could handle if it turned out that she'd bet on the wrong horse in this race.

In a place as crowded and as mixed in company as a place like WICKED was, a group of "kids" made their way into the depths of the club without undue notice. The leader of the group was a handsome blond man who had the build of a football player and the charm of a lady killer. Which, in all truth, was what he was. Tonight, he and his pals were on a hunt for fresh young blood that would be as entertaining as it was tasty.
Giving his friends a nod, he motioned for them to spread out and put their plan into motion. In one hour they would all meet at the front and leave with their "meals". If anyone didn't show at that time, they would be left to the fate the hunters would surely have in store for them.

All in all, Syria was feeling slightly out of place. Not that she wasn't happy or anything to see her friends, but their parting had been a long one last time, and the friendly manner she had adopted for them previously had faded away once more. She had always been more of a lone wolf, especially considering what she was, but with the tribulations that she;d endured with Max and Lexi, she'd grown closer to people than she'd ever had in years. But like any bond, it eventually had to be broken. Syria left, trying to deal with issues from her own past. It had been too long since she'd seen the Blairs, and once again she was unused to the company of others.
It had only been a few minutes in the VIP Lounge, when Lexi finally fluttered up, clearly exasperated. Behind her a stern looking woman followed; it wasn't hard to see the resemblance between her and Jo. And by the expression etched on her face, this mother-daughter reunion was clearly going to be an...interesting affair. Syria waved as Ellen meekly, hopefully keeping off the mother's vengeful radar.
Thankfully, before any drama erupted, Lexi managed to extract Max and Syria from the scene. Apparently, Lexi's business partner "Erik" wanted to met her. The proposition amused Syria, piquing her curiosity. Maybe this was the person Lexi had mentioned earlier?
Striding up next to Lexi, Syria smirked. "So what does your business partner want with me?" she asked, the amusement evident in her tone.

To say there wasn’t something sinfully hot about the way the blonde dancer moved would be one of the biggest lies Julian would have heard in his life. Everything about her seemed designed to drive a man crazy, and he wasn’t invulnerable to her spell. As they danced, he was able to spot several faces turning to stare at her, and a smug grin appeared on his features and a pleased ‘Yeah, she is with me’ look was on him as he saw jealousy in those faces. He knew there wasn’t a man in sight that wouldn’t be happy of changing places with him right at that moment.
The way her body pressed against his was enough to make his want desperately to move his arms around her and claim her lips. But as he stared at her eyes, it was as scary as it was entrancing. The fact that he wasn’t just trying to get her into bed with him and that he knew he wouldn’t…couldn’t push himself to walk away after that…was enough to shake his core. She had seen one side of him that he usually kept hid, one that went beyond his bad boyish side and revealed he cared. It made him want to run for the hills…it made him want to cling on to her and not let go.
Jules knew that he was digging himself into a hole when he realized that, he cared for her more than he wanted to admit to himself. But the mere idea of labeling what he had as a relationship wasn’t something he was confident in doing. Why? Because he knew soon or later he would do something stupid to break her heart and he would hate himself for it. No, the best thing he could do was to push her away right then before he was into it too deep.
Taking a deep breath, he braced himself and tried to find strength to do just that. Somehow lie to her and say he didn’t want anything more with her…it would be a lie, he knew that.
But it just took one look at her eyes again to know he was doomed and all his conviction faltered. How he could push away the one woman that he wanted to hold on to more than he had any in the past? Ignoring his own protests, his lips inched closer and closer to hers. It was hardly fair the way she made him feel, it was easy to build a wall around him that would keep anyone to get too close to him…but with her, she was able to demolish that wall faster than he was able to build it and all he wanted to do at that moment was kiss her.

Just a few minutes had passed since Max, Jo and Syria had moved into the VIP section and the dark haired hunter was distracted talking to the women that at first he didn’t notice Lexi and an unfamiliar face join them, it was only when he saw the look on Jo’s face that he turned around and noticed them.
When his wife introduced the woman, he realized why Jo had that look on her face. Yes, he had heard a bit about Ellen Harvelle. She seriously looked angry, but then again, what kind of caring mother wouldn’t be if her daughter got married, pregnant and hadn’t introduced her husband to her? Lexi had told him some stories about her from when she was young and knowing his wife as well as he knew her, he could see she was shaking a bit even if she stood her ground…but seriously, the woman didn’t seem all that scary to him.
Trying to sooth the situation the best he could, he hoped to help Jo. Putting on one of his best charming smile, he rose from his chair and offered a hand to Ellen. “Mrs. Harvelle, it is a pleasure to meet you. Lexi and Jo always talked very highly of you.”
Just as he introduced himself and cast a look at Jo that offered her help if she needed him, Max caught the sexy grin on Lexi’s face as she beckoned him. Add to the fact he hadn’t been able to stop thinking of stealing her away from the club all night…well, Jo was a great friend, but when his goddess had a smile like that on her face he would follow her even if it lead to the gates of hell.
Besides, this was a mother and daughter moment. Surely the girls had been overreacting when they talked about how scary Ellen’s mood could be.

JoJo sat and made small talk as best she could. She really didn't know Syria, she had only met her once and it had seemed like it was so long ago now. Max was nice, polite as usual but he had other things on his mind. Jo just couldn't help but feel like she didn't belong there.
Sipping at her water she almost choked on a mouthful when she saw Lexi heading back to the table. Following close behind was a familiar face. A familiar face that was in a familiar determined and angry set. From the look on Lexi's face as well, it didn't seem like this was going to be good. Jo was shocked to see her mother making her way to the table.
Instinctively, even though it was a bit awkward in her condition she stood up as her mom approached the table. Jo just kind of stood their with her mouth hanging open as Lexi spoke and then left the table with Max and Syria in tow. Jo's brain was screaming "NO!" as the other three walked away, leaving Jo alone to face her mother. Taking a deep breath Jo spoke quickly and sternly before Ellen could start in. "Look... I know you are mad. But, if you start in on me... I'm just going to leave. I can't take your anger and accusations right now." Jo folded her arms across her chest. Acutely aware that her forearms now rested on her very extended midsection. A fact that she wasn't going to be able to hide and certainly wasn't going to be missed by her mother. Standing there she stared right back at her mother. Looking her straight in the eye her own stubborn looked etched on her face.

The sight of her daughter was shocking to an extreme. Ellen barely realized the others were leaving until she was suddenly facing a very HEAVILY pregnant daughter who looked as if she might take her head off it she wasn't careful. The anger she could handle, after all, she had enough to more than match. However, it was the look of utter frailty that laid underneath all Jo's bravado that shook her to the core. For a long moment, she didn't say anything as she stood staring at her baby that wasnt her baby any longer.
"Joanna Beth Harvelle, you have some explaining to do, young lady. Obviously, though, its going to have to wait. Where is this damned hunter you've married and why do you look like your going to break down crying? So help me if you say he's abandoned you in this state and taken off, I will hunt him down and kill him myself."
Moving forward, Ellen did the only thing she could think to do and that was wrap her arms about her daughter and hug the hell out of her. She'd been so scared the last few months that Jo was making a huge mistake but had known that any interference by her would set her off. Not to mention the fact that the pair hadn't stayed in one place long and Jo never answered her phone calls when she tried to call. Granted the last few months, Ellen had known they were in New Orleans but she'd put off visiting because she honestly wasn't sure what to say or do and she hadn't wanted to drive her daughter any further away. She'd figured eventually Jo would call and they would start working through things.
However, when Lexi had told her that she might want to come for a visit and told her about the club, she'd decided to take the chance and come loaded for bear. All the way, she'd told herself she wasn't going to let her anger get the better of her but all that had flown right out the window when she'd arrived. Lexi had some explaining to do but right now it was her daughter that was important.
"What the hell is going on, baby? Why are you here alone and where is your husband. Lexi said you might need me but she didn't say why.... "
Yeah, so she was ratting the blond out but Ellen figured she deserved it. She should have told her where Jo was alot sooner. When ever Ellen had managed to reach Lexi, she had been told that she wasn't going to betray her friend and that if Ellen wanted to know what was going on, she'd have to find out herself. Their last talk, however, the tone had changed. Lexi had seemed worried and distracted before she'd told her to come down for the club opening and that she'd make sure JO and Ellen had a chance to talk. Now, she was glad she'd taken the risk.

Seeing the look in Max's eye, Lexi was distracted for a moment as a deep heat started in her middle. It was amazing that even after almost two years the desire was still there burning hot and wild with just a look. In fact, it only seemed to grow hotter with each passing day and she loved it when he looked at her that way. A matching spark started in her own eyes and spread to the smile gracing her face. Oh, yes.. Tonight was promising to be all that it should be.
Waiting for him to join her, she tucked her hand into his and then grinned at Syria. Her friend obviously didn't realize that Erik was the same man she'd meet at the Wolf's Den a few weeks back. Oh, Lexi knew Max didn't know Erik had told her but there was little she didn't keep up with. It had been business but the blond was no ones fool... She didn't expect her hunter not to appreciate beauty but she'd have killed any woman who'd thought to touch what was hers... and he WAS hers.
"Actually, I think you'll find that you already know him... Does tall, cool and deadly ring a bell? OH wait.. Lots of those around.. How about a Celtic wolf with Viking looks and ice blue eyes?"
Giving the young woman a wink, Lexi started off through the crowd without waiting for her to reply. She figured she'd intrigued her enough to follow and Erik was just getting ready to finish up his last set of song. She needed to get down there and talk to the band before getting her own set ready. She also needed to slip into the back and change before getting up in front of the crowd. Her dress was a bit to elegant for a trip up on stage.
Navigating the floors, Lexi squeezed Max's hand and then stopped when they finally reached the back area of the stage. Giving him a look, she stood on tippy toes and whispered that she was going to get changed really quick just as Erik finished up the last chorus of his song.
"You guys wait here and tell Erik I'll be right back, would you please?"
Winking at them both, she disappeared through a door and quickly made her way to the private rooms in back. A pair of black leather pants and a white halter top waited for her and she quickly slipped them on along with boots and a pair of gold hoop earings. A quick glance in the mirror revealed that her hair was still pulled partially up and she smiled. Max had always loved these pants before, she thought. Then, striding from the room, she made her way back outside and went directly to join them all again.
"Ok... I"m ready!" she announced. "Syria.. You up for a song? I could use some help on stage if you'd like to take a spin... You know.. stage fright and all that!" she teaseed.
(OK, I moved Syria and Max with me to the stage. Hope its OK? If not I can change it.)

Sibeal could sense the inner struggle he was fighting as emotions flashed through his eyes. At one point, she was sure he was going to push her away and part of her almost hoped he'd succeed. This was all new and scary and she was smart enough to realize she was getting in above her head.
However, suddenly, he seemed to quit fighting the pull and lowered his lips until they were just a breath away. With her own pulse catching, she meet his kiss and was lost in the moment. There in the middle of a crowded dance floor it was like everyone else had just faded away. Pressing closer to him, she felt his heat and it felt wonderful against her skin. For once in her life, she actually wanted the nearness of another person and all her demons were pushed to the side.
Finally breaking free of the embrace, the petite blond could only look up at him in bemusement as she tried to get a grip on her emotions. Her lips parted in a soft "oh" but she didn't say anything more as the music faded around them and the band announced a break in the action. The people surrounding them began to move from the dancefloor but a DJ soon took over a new beat. Looking questioningly up at him, she waited to see what he wanted to do.
"Ummm... I could use another drink... what about you??" she asked a bit breathlessly.

Mike was bored. That is what it amounted to as he stood at at the bar looking around the packed club. His fair hair danced in the neon lights but his wicked look belied anything "heavenly" about him.
Having already come to the conclusion that Azreal's presence put Alexis in even greater danger than she'd been in before, the warrior had decided to hang out at the club tonight and keep an eye out for trouble. Not that it was any hardship. He did so enjoy interacting with these humans. They were just so much fun. Their emotions could fuel his own for days on end.
Leaning on the bar, Mike waved at a bartender and ordered a whiskey. It was one of hte loves he had developed over the centeries. A blond down the counter grinned at him and he gave her a wink back. Oh, yes. It was good to be him.

Dean saw the look Jess threw over his shoulder and the memory of Anna's brown eyes returned. The kiss was brief and the look she gave him was almost too accepting for Dean's peace of mind. Returning the squeeze of his hand with one of his own he was sure that he had taken another step closer to that cliff edge above the Amour Gap. It was called falling in love for a reason.
Not yet sure what he wanted to say to either woman, especially the one behind him, Dean watched the one before him walk away, wondering if she was as confused about the two of them as he was? Was that why she seemed so accepting? Was she giving him an out if he wanted it? Or was she giving herself one? Dean's chest objected to that idea.
”I knew I should have stuck with nameless one night stands. They are so much easier to deal with.” Dean grumbled to himself, as he turned to confront a woman that still held a part of his heart, but not enough to pull him away from that cliff edge Jessica controlled.
Walking down the length of the bar towards her, Dean saw that she hadn't changed all that much physically, not that an Angel would, but her eyes showed an inner change that he didn't understand and wasn't sure he wanted too. He smiled at her, but was afraid that it wasn't the same joy filled welcoming one of a few moments ago.
”Anna.” he said somewhat stiffly as he reached her side, and immediately knew that wasn't at all the way he wanted to sound, but the awkwardness of the situation was causing his throat to seize up on him, coughing a little to try to ease the dryness he quickly added, ”Mind if I get a beer? Can I get you something?”

That kiss left him speachless and he knew it wasn’t the best idea to get so infatuated by someone. Still he knew that he couldn’t deny that he wanted to keep her close and that the idea of doing any different was a lost battle. No matter what his brain told him, his body refused to listen as the taste of her lips still lingered on his.
Not the fact of being in a relationship didn’t scared the hell out of him, it did. However he still refused to label what was there between them, as if that would help ease the confusion in his head. Truth was that the idea of not kissing her again was more terrifying than anything else was and thinking that she would find someone else instead of him if he left was enough to drive him crazy.
His eyes locked on hers as she spoke and a grin appeared on him. Placing a hand over her cheek, he lightly caressed her face. “Sounds good to me.” he replied under his breath and place one arm around her waist as he guided her back to the bar. Another drink sounded like a really good idea.
