The mid afternoon sun graced the park with a brilliant light as children laughed and giggled as they ran among the playground equipment. Mothers and babysitters smiled and chatted as they kept watch on their charges and shared the latest juicy gossip going around. Not a one was aware of the danger that lurked on the fringes of their little world.
Seated on a park bench barely one hundred feet away was a handsome young man with dark hair and black sunshades. Although his eyes were hidden from the humans who moved around him, his keen gaze never left the evidence of life around him. Stretching his arm across the bench behind him, he smiled as more than one womans gaze went over him and then started to tap his fingers on the wood.
He was new into town but already his senses were humming. The 66 seals were broken and his boss now walked the earth. War was breaking out and Astaroth knew his time had come. Both the Blairs and the Winchesters were in New Orleans and he knew it was time to make his move. He needed the woman to get to the seal and it was only a matter of time before the angels spilled the beans on the one sure way to stop the coming war. Lucifer wanted Solomans Seal and Astaroth meant to be the one who presented it to him. There would be great rewards for the being who turned the tides and he was no ones fool.
Playtime was over.

Soft, silvery blue eyes scanned the quaint little park from behind dark sunglasses as the huntress sat in one of the swings, her legs dangling and swinging back and forth, the motion creating a gentle swing - just enough to relax but never make her lose total focus.
One of Natalya's hands was wrapped around the swing chain, but the other's fingers was softly toying with the small golden sword that hung around her neck - a trinket given to her by a total stranger at a church where she'd questioned why she was even still doing this job. Releasing the sword and letting it lay against her chest - still in view of others - Natalya pushed her sunglasses up on top of her head, her hair held back from her face now as she looked around at the children at play and their mothers that watched from nearby park benches.
Looking around, Natalya's gaze fell on a man sitting on a bench a ways off, he seemingly watching those on the playground from behind his own pair of sunglasses. Something about him didn't feel right, so she quickly tore her gaze from him, a gentle smile slowly appearing on her face as she watched one of the children take a seat in one of the swings beside her. He smiled back at her as he began swinging his little legs in an attempt to get himself swinging.
Miss, can you help me please? he asked as he looked over at her with his childish smile.
Sure. What's your name? she asked as she stood from the swing she'd been sitting in and walked over behind the boy, giving him a gentle push.
Patrick. What's yours? he replied, a small giggle coming from him as he swang higher.
My name's Natalya, she introduced herself, but she began looking around again. Something didn't feel right; it just didn't.

As the demon watched the children play, his attention was caught by a young woman who seemed a bit preoccupied. A little boy chattered in his innocent manner and she seemed to be engrossed in whatever he was saying.
However, as she suddenly lifted her head and looked around, Astaroth quirked a brow and watched her with interest. The child was obviously not hers and he hadn't seen any of the others approach her so it made him wonder what she was doing there. Her intelligent gaze seemed to be searching for something but the demon knew he was the only truly dangerous thing in the vicinity.
As he watched her, his eyes were drawn to something on her person. With narrowed eyes, he registered what it was and swore under his breath. She was either an angel vessel or a hunter and since the demon didn't sense any heavenly powers about her, he could only assume her the later. But what in the HELL was she doing with a piece of Micheal's grace? Only the arch angel himself could have given it to her to call him like a lighthouse beacon.
Getting to his feet, Astaroth debated approaching the woman. If he could take that from her, he could summon the angel for Lucifer. However, it was a great risk to himself as if she called to Micheal he was dead himself.

Natalya continued to push the small boy on the swing for a few more minutes until his mother summoned him, the lithe, red headed woman giving her a small smile for helping her son as he ran to her. Natalya waved goodbye to them both then began to meander around, coming to the merry-go-round and sitting down. Looking around once more, her gaze once again came to rest on the man that had been sitting on the park bench, and she noticed that he'd stood and seemed to be watching her.
Natalya became a bit unnerved and quickly turned her gaze away; she wasn't afraid, but she still felt an unsettled feeling in this man's gaze. Her hand immediately went to the tiny golden sword that hung around her neck, a small amount of comfort coming from it. She'd found herself finding comfort in this small trinket practically since she'd gotten it from the stranger at the church. It was almost as if it took some weight off her shoulders and reminded her that everything was worth it. With the sword still held in her fingers, Natalya once again let her gaze fall on the man. She wondered who he was, but there was something deep in the pit of her stomach that nagged at her to keep her distance.
So, Natalya did just that as she leaned back on one of the poles on the merry-go-round, pushing the toe of her boot in the dirt which set the merry-go-round into a slow, gentle spin.
