Pete pulled into the Gravel road the purported to be the bars parking lot, he noticed that there were quite a few bikes near the main entrance, he briefly thought about hustling a few of them to make a bit of extra cash, which would certainly be useful right now, but he was hear to try and get himself some new leads on the Demon he was still continuing to hunt.
Entering the bar he walked directly over to Bar and waited as the Barkeeper finished his conversation, he noticed that the Bar keep had a picture of his regiment from the war in Vietnam, The barkeep looked over and noticed him looking at it "Hey Pete, Usual" he asked as he cracked open a bottle of beer "Listen man, lets not have a repeat of last time, OK", Pete nodded
"Cheers Frank, lemme know if there's any action, I'll be over there" Pete nodded over to his usual table, since meeting Maddie hear it had somehow become his regular, good information and plenty of saps to take cash from. Frank nodded in response and went back to his conversation, Pete took his beer and pulled out one of the chairs facing the door.

Mark drove along the highway it had been a hard couple of weeks for him his last few hunts had ended up becoming more physical then usual the heavens had only just started to open up as the rain lashed down heavy he cursed as he spotted a road side bar he knew it was a regular with hunters and he wanted to throw himself into another hunt as soon as he could.
He pulled up and had only stepped out of his vehicle when the rain lashed down even stronger followed up by thunder claps and lighting making there move into the scene he walked up to the entrance and opened the door just as a thunder clap announced his arrival.
“Hey close that door” the bar tender called over keeping his eye’s locked on Mark waiting as he closed the door before turning back to cleaning the counter shaking his head slightly.
Mark walked up to the bar noticing some of the other customers were still looking at him either trying to decide what to make of him or had been told by other hunters what he was like and in doing so were trying to give him a wide birth, he looked at the bar tender “I’ll take a coke when your ready” Mark said to him he over heard a few others start to whisper to which he turned to face them “You got a problem with my order?” he snapped to them.
“Hey any trouble and your out back in that heavy rain outside” The bar tender said sternly leaning over to look at Mark squarely in the eye’s to make his point all the more clear.
Mark took a sip from his drink and then turned away from the owner placing a five dollar note on the bar “Keep the change” he replied with his back to him walking away from him he noticed a youngish man standing up looking in his direction.

Pete noticed the stranger walk into the bar he hadn't seen this guy before but by the way he was carrying himself, he knew the guy had suffered some knocks recently, that meant he was either a Hunter who had a hell of a workload or he was civilian caught up at the wrong place at the wrong time, either way he was clearly somebody he needed to talk to.
He watched as the guy walked up to the bar and ordered his beverage, he noticed Frank wasn't best pleased to see him and by the reaction of the other locals, Heck, they didn't even give that reaction to daemons or wolves this guy was clearly well known here and not for the right reasons.
Pete took a drink out of his bottle and continued to keep his stare a fixed firmly on the guy at the bar, he instantly jumped to his feet as soon as he heard the guy male a sudden outburst about his drink, knowing frank would settle it down he waited until the situation had cooled itself, he stood watching, waiting for him to make some sort of move. He watched the reaction of the other hunters and saw that one of them was beginning to get a bit itchy, he had to do something.
Heading over to him he held out his hand "Pete Ashby," he introduced himself "what say we head over to my table and have a little chat," and as if to emphasis he nodded over to the table and refused to step out of the way until he accepted

Mark looked at the guy which was standing in front of him he became to wonder if this guy was either brave, stupid or had general never heard of him before he waited a few seconds and saw that the guy held out his hand "Pete Ashby," the man said to him.
Mark had heard the name before from different hunters but he had never seen him before and to be honest this guy looked to be dense since he’d never heard of him before as no hunter in there right mind would want to know him much less shake his hand.
“Ok sure” he replied wondering just what Pete wanted himself "what say we head over to my table and have a little chat," Mark watched as Pete extended his arm towards his table Mark nodded and made his way towards the table and then took a seat after taking a sip from his drink “Well you must be one of the most dense hunters I’ve ever met”.
“The only reason I say that is due to most people by that I’m referring to hunters know all about me, but you your something else” Mark said hoping it would offset the mood around Pete and lead him into telling him why he chose to talk to him.

Pete walked back to the table with the new hunter, taking a look back to check everybody else was going back to their drinking, he saw a few looks but that didn't bother him too much, they were probably whispering about the new guy.
He took a seat opposite him and picked up his beer taking a swig he replaced it and listened to what he had to say "Dense, Some would say you'd have to be pretty dense to walk into a bar of blood thirsty gun-wielding hunters and start mouthing off about something as trivial as a drinks order" Pete replied, he didn't particularly care what this guy thought of him but if it was information he was after, he needed to keep the guy focused
"I still don't," Pete replied "Might surprise you but i ain't here to make friends i just wanna find the SOB that has made it his life's mission to screw me over, Heck I only know two other hunters and their chicks, so tell me boss what brings you here?" Pete stated as he finished off his beer, he signaled to Frank for two more

Mark listened to what Pete had to say for himself he fount it amusing that a dude like him could be so easily screwed over he just had to take one good look at him to know that this dude seemed to like to talk tough but when it came down to it he showed people too much heart and that was a dangerous weapon people could use against him one Mark thought he could use in his own personal hunt.
“Guess were kind of in the same boat some dude, gets you so hacked off you want to go out and find the SOB and give it both barrels, however your attitude of showing people kindness or companionship is a one way street to you becoming the next head on some supernatural’s creature’s mantel piece”. Mark replied praying and hoping it would start winding Pete up.
He took another sip of his drink and made sure to refuse in anyway to show an apologetic feel for his words after all Mark fount it better to work with people he could easily use and make them the bate to draw out the supernatural SOB they were hunting.
“Then again” Mark replied finishing taking a gulp from his drink “I hear there’s then some weird going on’s at the new two story mall that opened around here recently came in here looking for a SOB stupid enough to be my wingman on this adventure after all hanging round in this dump hole should be enough to make any half decent hunter tag along” Mark replied thinking that once again like always he could dangle some meat in front of someone then reel them in, it was a game he enjoyed playing and one which had made him notorious.

Pete listened to what the guy had to say, something about him un-nerved him, there was something slightly off about this guy, he wondered if he was actually inhabited by some sort of Daemon or something. Clearly this guy had a screw lose, it was good to go it alone and sometimes people did interfere that was no reason to be unreasonable with them,
He looked at the guy sitting in front of him, he had seen guys like him in the military somebody who had gotten screwed over and blamed everybody for their mis-fortune and in turn forced them to see them as less than human. he was about to walk when he heard the Keyword that reminded him about his duty "Wingman"
Pete re-took his seat and listened"You want a Wingman fine I'll take the bait, but we are gonna do things my way or not at all" Pete said "I'm sure one of these other guys are gonna be prepared to help you" Pete said nodding in the direction of the main bar area "Now what do you mean by Weird things?" Pete asked as Frank brought over the beers

“You want in you got in however” Mark replied taking another gulp from his drink he had learnt to manipulate people before from his hunting mentor until the incident had drove a wedge between them he had been told to give people just enough information to make them listen but not enough for them out wit you in the battle field.
If this guy was going to be interested then Mark needed to make the hunt look good and this guy for him was already pushing it with wanting everything done his way this was something Mark really didn’t like he always liked to be the one calling the shots to use the others to draw people out and if that meant using normal folk in the process then who would care as long as the supernatural creature was gone, ‘no one’ he thought to himself they’d be too busy looking the other way and wanting to get on with their lives then argue over trivial matters such as who lived and who died.
“Since I’m letting you in on my adventurous hunt and since you would never of heard about it from anyone else you would of gone blundering past it I’ll cut you a deal we do this as equals eighty percent my way twenty your way take it or leave it either way I’ll just give you the heads up the mall from what’s been said has come under threat from what reports have said as ghostly native Indian’s and ghost animal spirits I’m thinking sacred ground but then I’m guessing you’d have your own theory” Mark replied hoping once again to reel Pete in.

Pete Mulled it over for a few minutes maybe he had been a bit harsh in demanding that they do everything his own way, but he wasn't going to settle for an eighty twenty split, "OK how about we split fifty fifty and we begin straight away," Pete suggested.
The only other thing that concerned him was the lack of information he was willing to share, but he supposed he had done it himself previously as well so who was he judge anyway, but something about this guy un-nerved him he decided to call his bluff anyway "I heard something similar about that place but I heard it was a Ghostly possession of a Cookie shop worker" Pete grinned.
He finished off his beer and looked around the slight snigger's and strange looks he was gettin from the others sitting around on other tables, started to un-nerve him slightly "So whats the deal anyway, I know you said something about being an evil SOB but that doesn't explain why the other hunters are prepared to knock your block off at any moment, they deal with guys like you all the time, the only reason i would behave like that is because some guy stitched me and then fled like a coward, so what's the deal, Ya Yella" Pete asked

Mark looked away from the table and around at the other hunters around the bar area some were taking a vested interest in their conversation while some were obviously trying to make out they weren’t looking at Mark when clearly they were as when he looked to them they quickly turned back to their own conversation.
Mark then overheard Pete mention the deal of going fifty, fifty spilt on the mission this time Mark muddled it over he hated the idea of having to share shotgun seat with this dude and so looked around the bar area again for perhaps a hunter who didn’t know him which he believed would be rare and if he did could he get a better offer and take lead.
He decided in the end it would prove fruitless and so looked to Pete begrudgingly already trying to find a way to try and take lead shotgun “Fine I guess I’ve got no other choice since your going to join me” Mark said taking another gulp from his remaining coke leaving only a small amount left he smirked to himself as this was the sort of thing he got a trill from if the coke were only a hunted supernatural being he would leave it on the edge of life and let it beg for mercy before he brought the final blow leaving it for as long as possible before doing so.
Mark then overheard Pete joke about the hunt, Mark steered at Pete in a near enough attempt to steer daggers through him using his eye’s in his own mind he was already envisioning Pete lying in a plot with the comment joke he made about the cookie shop worker.
Mark thought about what to say to Pete should he just get up and leave, sit and see if this guy was just all jokes or should he think of how to use him as bate, the jukebox song changed to ‘bad moon rising’ this altered Mark’s mood this was the one song he knew fitted him down almost to a tee which made him forget his train of thought “Well then if it is then it had better go run and hide because I on my way to smoke it’s ass."
“As for your other question I think we should have a strict policy that only I ask the question or if you don’t like that then we revert to you just keeping your nose out of my past current events Skippy” Mark replied to him hoping it would yank Pete’s chain once more to let him see he shouldn’t ask anymore question regarding Mark’s past

Pete looked at his new hunting partner he made a vow that this would be his first and last time of hunting with this guy, something was way of with him and the fact that he didn't want to talk about his past made him even more unsure of his new hunting partner,
"Alright we'd better start making a move, if it's all the same with you I'll follow in my truck, I'm guessing you've got your own wheels?" Pete replied attempting to gain some sort of normality here, he was clearly opening himself up for a whole lot of hassle he didn't need but he never backed down from a fight and he always saw his duty to the end.
Exiting the bar he looked at his truck and then tried to figure out which car he should follow, he still looked like the only guy in this parking lot with any money to spare, walking over to the drivers side he got in and sat waiting for mark to give him the signal to go,

Mark exited the bar with Pete it was still raining heavy outside but Mark didn’t care all he wanted was to hunt down the supernatural creature and put the fear of god into it before he pulled the final trigger on its unfortunate life he walked over to the far end of the car park and got into his blood red jeep he switched on the engine and the car blasted AD/DC war machine an ever fitting piece.
He turned on the headlights to illuminate the road ahead not only that but he made sure to turn on his four over head lights on it was as much for intimidation as it was for being used as visibility, he pulled up along side Pete whom he saw waiting his what Mark considered to be a poor copy of the truck he was driving once again he fount himself casting dispersion on another man’s misfortune but he didn’t really care about other people only the hunt since people got the way too often of the hunt.
“Gonna take her past Mckinnly ridge then down Ellis fields from then it’s open road for three clicks” Mark called out to Pete “whatever you do you make sure to stay stopping distance behind me and take this” Mark said stopping and leaning back into his truck pulling out a walkie talkie radio and handed it to Pete “I’m on channel three that’s set to channel five call me if you need anything” Mark called over wondering if Pete would beat the record set by the other hunters who’d used it.

Pete watched as Mark pulled up at the side and handed him a Walkie Talkie, he was beginning to hate this guy even more, but then he supposed that Mark was probably one of these insecure types who wanted to try and control pretty much every move, he'd dealt with guys like this before and most of them turned out to be cowards. Pete nodded a thanks and made sure mark saw that he put it on the passenger seat, and drove off following the truck Mark was driving.
Turning out of the Parking lot and onto the freeway, his first move was to chuck the Walkie Talkie into the Glove Compartment and turned the radio on, hopefully this should make the ride a hell of a lot easier and he'd been to the Mall before so he had no reason to use it. He'd just head straight their and if Mark was serious about the hunt he'd do the same thing.
Pete followed the route down to McKinley and noticed that their was significantly less traffic then when he headed off earlier probably celebrating St. Paddies day, which meant that Ellis Fields was going to be packed with Revealer's enjoying the evening, Pete smirked and wondered if Mark had thought about this but decided to leave it as it was and made his way to Ellis Fields.
Slowing to meet the pace of the Traffic that was heading through town, he noticed it was easier than he had expected, smirking he followed the flow until the exit and from their he could see the Ellis Fields Mall, technically not in Ellis Fields but it was within easy distance for them.
Pulling into the almost deserted car park he made sure to park as far away from the entrance as possible, he wanted to make a quick exit from this and if his calculations were correct any law enforcement that stopped by would try and park near the entrance to try and prevent escapees. turning of the engine he hopped down from the truck and walked to the entrance, noticing it was a cool crisp evening now that the rain had let up he waited for mark to either catch up or meet him at the exit he'd lost sight of his Jeep as they entered the car park but he wasn't too bothered it would be a blessing if he slipped into an alternative dimension

As Mark drove along the highways he began to think that the route he had chosen to get to the mall might need to be re-thinked not that it was packed by any means no the roads were hardly populated no screaming honking drivers no four cars waiting at traffic lights either this was a sign or something was going on that Mark didn’t know about he unclipped his walkie talkie from his belt and radioed through to Pete but for some reason he wasn’t picking up.
Mark cursed quietly thinking that possibly this was his petty revenge for earlier for the harsh treatment Mark had given to him he gave a quick look into his rear view to see if Pete was following but all Mark saw behind himself was an empty highway to this end he concluded one of three things had happened to him one was that he had chickened out, two was that something had already happened to him along the way and if that was so was it gunning for him next, and lastly Pete had fount another way to the mall and was just refusing to let him know about it.
As Mark left McKinley ridge and headed down towards Ellis fields he began to notice that the field was packed with people probably all out for the celebration he was beginning to notice that traffic was starting to come to a crawl and that this route was going to take more time than he had though it would again he tried his walkie talkie and again he got no response.
Now Mark was beginning to get really annoyed with Pete or as Mark had renamed him Skippy again Mark began to think about the harshness of his treatment at the start he began to reflect on his career so far as he crawled through the traffic he was surprised to find a hunter who didn’t know about Mark and knew he didn’t really want to tell his past story as to why other hunters gave him a wide birth.
This was simply because once while out on a hunt Mark had got a hunting partner lead into a trap by a group of Vampires Mark had tried to help save the hunter but was overpowered and thus the other hunter had been turned into a vampire unfortunately for Mark however another hunter had came out to help and fount Mark covered in blood and the other hunter lying on the floor having been turned it was to this the story had gotten round that Mark couldn’t be trusted.
Over time Mark played to this story and forged his own identity Mark finally made it past Ellis Fields and headed as fast as he could to the mall some time later he pulled into the car park and saw Pete’s car sitting near the exit he parked towards a shaded area of the car park and then spotted Pete by the entrance to the mall Mark quickly walked over to him and spotted he was without the walkie talkie “Bet you fount that damn funny didn’t you?” Mark replied looking Pete square in the eye’s not moving them away “Well I suggest to get that walkie because if you can holla from the third floor into the basement level then be my guest because while you’re over there I’ll be starting this investigation” Mark sternly said to Pete making sure Pete knew Mark wasn’t playing around or in any mood for games
