Wandering through the campus, Samantha Rose chatted with her friends and then waved to them as they all seperated and took off on their seperate paths. A grin was firmly in place as she strolled along without really paying attention to anyone or anything. The warm summer sunshine bathed her skin and she absolutely loved the hint of the ocean on the breeze. There was absolutely no place on earth like New Orleans.
Reaching in her pocket, the young brunette began to fish around for her keys and sighed when she couldn't see to find them. Reaching the side of a cherry red classic mustang, she place her book bag on the hood and began to rumble through the pack for the missing keychain. Another sigh escaped her as she realized that she must have dropped them on the way to her vehicle and a soft curse escaped her.

SamSam had come to the university library to find some books he needed for research. They had a good selection of books on runes and ancient writings so he wanted to check it out. As he headed out of the library he saw a very pretty dark haired girl walking with some friends. She was looking for something in her bag and when she pulled her hand out she dropped something.
Being to far to just yell at her he walked over to where she dropped it. He bent down and picked it up, it was a set of keys. By the time he had them in his hands they were even further away from him.
Sam walked toward the group that was breaking up as he got closer. He kept the girl who had dropped the keys in sight and followed along. Finally she reached a red mustang and started to look for her keys. When she put the bag on the hood and started digging he knew she had just realized she lost them.
Grinning a little bit Sam moved quietly and got closer and was standing behind her. He watched her for a few seconds as she searched for her keys. When she muttered a little curse he couldn't help but chuckle. He cleared his throat and spoke to her. "Are you looking for these maybe? I think you dropped them a ways back." Sam smiled as he held up the keys and let them dangle in front of him.

Samantha was just about to let loose with some very unladylike curses when another voice broke through her tragedy. Glancing upwards, the young woman stared at the extended keys for a long moment before traveling up the hand to the man holding them. He had an unruly mop of chocolate colored hair and towered over her own 5' 8" by almost half a foot.
"Ummm.... Thanks." she returned, reaching out to take the keychain. "I just realized I had lost them and was beginning to panic!"
Then, giving him a closer looking over, she leaned a hip on the hood of the mustang and grinned impishly.
"I don't think I've seen you on campus before! Are you a new student? I'm Samantha but my friends call me Sam or Sammie."
Sam let her take the keys from his hand. He was about to reply to her question about whether he was a student or not when she mentioned her name. He couldn't help but let out a laugh.
"Uh... Seriously, your name is Samantha? Well that's pretty interesting. My name is Sam. So I think I won't be calling you Sam, which would be just too weird."
Sam was still chuckling and shook his head. This was definitely weird. Not that a girl named Samantha was weird but the whole name thing.
'Hi I'm Sam, Oh I'm Sam too.' he thought to himself.
"As far as a student here. No, I'm not. At least not now. I was doing a bit of research and they had some books I wanted to see. I guess you're a student here though? Seems pretty obvious but I wouldn't want to assume."
A twinkling laugh escaped the pretty young woman as she eyed him and then nodded.
"Yes... I'm a drama major. I’m working on my masters while helping out at the playhouse in the French Quarter."
Tilting her head a bit, Sammie bit her lip and gave him a flirtatious wink.
"And yeah... I can see how calling me Sam might be awkward for you. You can call me Sammie if you like."
Shifting away from her car, she picked up her bag and hit her unlock button on the keychain before moving to toss her bag into the back of the mustang. When she had accomplished that, she turned back to the handsome young man and leaned on her door.
"So... Would you let me buy you a cup of coffee for saving me the hassle of trying to find my keys or are you one of those backwards guys that think it’s wrong to ask a guy out?"
The teasing note in her voice practically was a dare.
Sam shook his head a bit. Thinking about what Dean would say. He sure as hell would have something to say about Sammy and Sammie. He cleared the thought from his head. Dean didn't have to know. So it shouldn't be a problem.
"Yeah, Sammie it is then. Nice to meet you."
Sliding his hands into his pockets he stood there a little self consciously as she put her bag into the car. When she turned around he smiled again.
A smirk spread across his face as she asked about coffee. "I like to think of myself as a fairly forward thinking kind of guy. Sure, you could by me a cup of coffee. I wouldn't mind that at all."
Grinning wickedly, Sammie tossed her long brown locks behind one shoulder and then nodded at the passenger seat.
"Climb in then... There is a really cool coffee shop just a few blocks away. It’s got the best lattes and pastries in the area and it’s not on the tourist path!"
Then, sliding into the driver’s seat, she waited for him to join her before starting the engine. As the motor purred to life, she gave him a wicked glance and asked.
"I hope you aren't afraid of a little speed... My baby does do those pesky speed limits well. The faster it is, the better she responds"
Sam got into the car and nodded his head as she mentioned an 'off the beaten path' coffee shop. He raised his eyebrows when she gave him a quick glance.
Talking about speed. He chuckled again. "Oh trust me. I'm used to it." If she only knew he thought. He spent most of his life in a fast car with a crazy brother doing the driving.
Sam just sat back in the seat and relaxed as she pulled away and hit the accelerator. As they drove Sam thought he should at least try to keep up some conversation.
"So... You're a drama major working on masters? What do you do with a degree like that? You heading to Hollywood? Wanna be one of the rich and famous?" Sam looked over at her and gave her a little friendly wink.
"Rich and famous might be a welcome alternative to being poor and unknown!" Sammie teased right back. "Actually, my dreams haven’t gone that far... I love the theater and hope someday to direct a few play of my own. I've been putting in allot of hours at the local joints and it’s been paying off."
Tapping her fingers on the steering wheel, she blasted through a yellow light and heard horns honk behind her. Giving one driver a friendly salute, the young brunette continued.
"I've been infatuated with the stage since I was knee high to a grasshopper. My grandfather used to read Shakespeare and I was hooked from the word go. Alot of people find it boring but there is alot of true to it too. Shakespeare saw the world in its true light... and we can learn alot from his writings."
Then, blushing, she cast her passenger a look.
"Sorry.... I tend to get carried away.. Hazard of a drama major I guess."
Spotting the coffee shop ahead, Sammie quickly pulled in a vacant parking spot and threw the mustang in park.
"I think we should walk in from here. I'm betting this is the closest parking spot available and we can save time in traffic by stealing it.." she told him. "You can tell me about yourself during the walk>"
Sam listened as she talked about the theater. Her passion for it was obvious. He couldn't help but smile as she talked. It was something she loved. Anyone could tell that by the look on her face and the vibrant way in which she spoke about it.
"It's ok. I don't mind listening. It's great to see someone that loves what they do. It's good to have a passion for something and be able to pursue it."
As they stopped and parked Sammie explained about the parking situation and that made Sam wonder. How busy was this place going to be. He didn't mind the walk though. Give him some time to stretch his legs after sitting in the library for hours.
The part about telling her about himself was a different matter though.
"Umm.... Well. I graduated from Stanford, pre-law a few years ago. Got accepted into their Law School, but decided to take a little break from school. Turned into a long break I guess. That was about four years ago."
Sam turned and looked at her as they walked. A little half-smile on his face as he shrugged.
"Right now, I kind of work with my brother. We travel a lot."
Arching a brow thoughtfully, Sammie glanced curiously at him and then shrugged.
"Well, school isn't everything. Whats the good in being alive if you don't explore a bit? Law is some pretty heavy stuff... I thought about going into it for a while but I decided that I couldn't be bothered with some of the idiots running around in today’s society. Drama lets me forget about stupid people and immerse myself in a world that I make."
Reaching the crosswalk across the street from the shop, she stopped and glared up at the light impatiently.
"Don’t you just HATE red lights? Who honestly has the time to wait on them? There is so much life to be lived that it seems a shame to waste even a moment on them..."
Just then, the light changed and a crossing sign flashed. Grinning triumphantly, she glanced at Sam and laughed.
"SEE!!!!! Sometimes good things come to the impatient!!" she said with a sing song tone. "So... What kind of work do you and your brother do and what kind of research are you up too?"
Sam walked along with Sammie. Enjoying the time, chatting with her. He nodded as she spoke. Yeah, school isn't everything is right he thought. Especially when you knew too much about what was really out there. He sighed quietly and tried to push it out of his mind. Just enjoying the walk and the company.
He grinned a bit as they got to the stop light. He couldn't help it. She was cute when she was being impatient. As the signed changed they started across the street. Sam was just shaking his head.
"Umm... Well, we kind of do some kind of special investigations. I was looking up some stuff for a possible case we might take on. I guess you could say we are freelance private eyes."
Sam figured sticking as close to the truth as possible was the best way to go. Too hard to get caught up in a web of lies and not know how to get out of it.
"OH!! Thats Cool! I bet it’s real exciting!" Sammie returned. "With a law background, it probably makes things easier for you too... Seeing as you know what you can get away with and what you can't...."
Reaching the coffeeshop, she opened the door and entered so that Sam could follow. As she did so, a few girls hollered and waved and she gave them a cheeky grin but didn't approach them. Turning to her companion, the pretty brunette leaned close and whispered.
"Just nod and then look away or we will be swarmed with attention.... The girls don't know you so let’s play mysterious... It will give me an edge later when I talk about the tall dark and handsome guy I meet this afternoon!" she teased with a silly grin.
Sam smirked a little bit again as she exclaimed about how exciting his "job" was. He supposed it was kind of exciting in a way. But not in a GOOD way really.
They got to the place and Sam followed Sammie inside. It was pretty crowded and she was greeted by a group of friends. Sam scanned the room and looked around. Seemed like a college hang-out and a pretty popular one at that.
Sam met her eyes as she spoke to him and chuckled in understanding.
"No problem. Just make sure you tell them how awesome I was." He smiled at her then did as she said.
Turning he nodded at her friends and then looked away. Just for fun he put an arm around her shoulders and leaned down to whisper to her.
"You think this will give them something to talk about." He gave her a little wink again and then looked up at the menu boards as they approached the counter.
Grinning evilly, Sammie took a quick peek behind them and snickered a bit at the open mouthed looks that some of the younger college girls were giving them. A few of them were from rich, well to do families and had nothing good to say about anyone but they were sure looking put out that Sammie was with Mr. Tall, Dark and Sexy. It made her want to go a little celebration dance but of course... She was to mature for that. Not to mention Sam might think she actually was some sort of loon.
"I think they will have plenty to talk about ... I'm sure I'll get the third degree when I see a few of them at drama practice." she said with a quirky grin before turning to the clerk and ordering a Chocolate Kiss coffee with extra whipped cream on top.
Then, stepping aside a bit, she waited for Sam to place his order and then handed the clerk her debit card to pay for the drinks.
"You want anything else?? There are desserts and all sorts of goodies if you like... This is all on me so help yourself!"
Glancing upwards at him, she gave him a wink and then caught sight of a chocolate torte.
"OHHHHHHHHHHHHH... And I would like a slice of that too please!! Chocolate!! Better than.... well, almost anyways..." she said, her voice trailing off when she caught sight of the help behind the counter eyeing her reproachfully.
"What??" she asked before ruining it with a laugh. "All right... All right.... I'll be quiet now..."
Sam placed his order for just a large regular mocha with no whipped cream. When Sammie mentioned a desert he went ahead and added a White Chocolate with macadamia nut cookie to his order. He couldn't help but feel in an uplifted move around her. Again he found himself smiling when she got excited. It was even more cute when she caught herself mid excitment.
"It's ok. You don't have to be quiet. I like it. It suits you. You have brightened up my day."
They waited a few minutes for their order. Finally when the cashier behind the counter put their coffee and desert they both took their respective items and turned to find a table.
"Where do you wanna sit? It's kind of crowded. Did you want to sit with your friends? It's ok if you do."
Wrinkling her nose a bit, the pretty brunette shook her head and then waved towards the outside.
"Lets not and say we did.... There is a small sundeck with tables out there... What do you say we sit out there and enjoy the sunshine?" When he nodded, the young woman lead the way out the back and on to the almost deserted patio. Moving to a shaded table, she sat her things down and then slide into a chair.
"This is nice.... Sometimes its a blessing to just be away from the innate chatter and enjoy some decent conversation." she said, picking up her coffee to take a small sip. "And why is it... Even on hot days... We poor mortals think we have to have steaming hot coffee to get through the day?? I still haven't figured that little puzzle out..."
Sam followed her out to the patio. It was pretty empty and suited Sam just fine. It was a nice day and Sam didn't get a lot of chances just to sit and enjoy it.
Sitting down in the chair at the table with her. He was still enjoying just listening to her talk. It was a nice change of pace from Dean. Sam took a drink of his coffee and a bit of his cookie.
"I think that the need for caffeine sometimes out weighs the heat of the beverage. But then that raises the question of why not just get an iced coffee right? Humanity never ceases to amaze."
Sam grinned at her again as he sat back drinking his coffee and munching on his cookie.
Giving him a look over her coffee, Sammie nodded in agreement.
"Yeah... Humanity never ceases to amaze. Just when you think there isn't one saving grace left on earth.. They do something that truly assounds the masses."
Lifting her cup, the young woman took a drink of her coffee and moaned in pleasure as she missed the look on her companions face.
"Chocolate... This had to have been a gift to us poor mortals from God for all the screw ups that were bound to happen in our lives. I think its his apology for things like term papers and exams. Without it, I wouldn't be able to function because sleep doesn't seem to enter my vocabulary."

SamSam finished off the cookie and continued to sip on his coffee as he sat back and enjoyed the sunshine a little bit.He watched the young woman across from him. She was bright and cheerful and that was a little bit contagious. Her spirit lifted him up just being around her.
Chuckling as she spoke. He liked the way she didn't seem afraid to just be herself with someone she had just met. The sound of her voice was drew him in. Stretching his long legs out under the table he let himself relax. "I don't know about chocolate being a gift from God, but I am with you on the whole sleep issue. I think it's been awhile since I've had a decent night sleep." That was the truth he thought. The last few months had been difficult. The betrayal by Ruby and his own feelings of guilt had worn on him. It was nice to be able to just sit at a coffee shop with a regular girl doing something normal people do.

After the coffee lulled her into a sense of normalcy, Sammie grinned across the table at her dark haired companion. Tilting her head curiously, she gave him a keen look and took in the darkness that seemed to linger in his eyes even as he tried to relax. A subtle frown settled on her brow as she eyed him and then wondered why he looked so sad.
"You know.... You look like you could use a friend.... No offense but you kind of have that look that most people were when they are about to either crack or buckle under the strain of expectations and well meant intentions. I know we just meet but.... If you need someone to talk you.. I've got big shoulders. You'd be suprised what a strangers ear can do to relieve a burden..."
Somewhat suprised at her own words, Samantha flicked a lock of hair behind a shoulder and then suddenly felt a stabbing pain in her temple. A loud, static noise filled her mind and a feeling of dread was upon her before she could comprehend what was going on. Bolting to her feet, she began to look around and then felt her stomach lurch with fear and anxiety. She wasnt' sure why but she knew they had to get out of there NOW.
"Sam... Sam... We need to go..." she whispered hoarsely as she glanced around wildly.

SamThey sat and talked for awhile, drinking their coffee. Everything was good. It was nice. Sam felt himself smiling back at her when she looked across at him. Looking down at his hands he had to think for a minute when she talked about him needing a friend. He looked back up at her before he spoke. "Uh... Well... Thanks. Things have been a little difficult lately. Actually having a friend that's not my brother. What a concept... Problem is we move around a lot. It's hard to maintain... well it's hard to maintain lots of things that way." Sam got quiet after that. It would be nice to have a friend. Someone to talk to. He got lost in his thoughts for a few moments. Drinking his coffee and looking across the table at Sammie every once in awhile.
Suddenly her demeanor changed drastically and Sam's brow wrinkled in concern. When she stood up he set his coffee down and stood up as well. Scanning the area to see if there was something going on. Everything looked normal. But, the look on her face was telling him something else. "OK... OK... No problem, let's go. What's wrong Sammie?" Sam reached out and grabbed her hand. Then turned around, tugging on her hand and pulling her with him. He just picked a direction and started moving out of the coffee shop area and down the street.

"OK... OK... No problem, let's go. What's wrong Sammie?"
Samantha was on her feet and moving towards the exit by the time she felt Sam following. Her feet didn't stop until it had taken her across the street from the little shop and she could breath a bit easier. Her stomach felt funky and it was as if a sense of dread had crept over the city. She didn't know why she felt the way she did. She just did and she hated it.
"I .. I don't know.... Something tells me that we just don't want to be here right now. I can't explain it..... I just have this awful feeling as if something is going to happen or might happen..." she said, her voice trailing way as she glanced at him. "And no.. I"m not nuts.. I promise...Its just that once in awhile i sense things and most of the time, it comes true... Don't ask me how cause I can't even explain it."
Casting a look back behind them at the coffee shop, Sammie tried to pin point what seemed so off to her. It was just a small, quiet coffee shop that wasn't on the main fare and shouldn't attract much notice. Just as she scanned the windows, she saw a guy pull a pistol at the cashier and suddenly heard shrill screams as he waved it wildly at the customers. Another man guarded the door as the first seemed to shake a bag at the clerk and the girl quickly pulled open the cash register to pull out stacks of money.
"Oh God..." she whispered, gripping Sams arm tightly.
Frozen in place, the pretty brunette watched as the a gentleman seated beside the door edged out of his chair and dove for the guard holding the gun. As the pair colided, the criminal at the counter whirled around and suddenly there was a volley of shots that cause Samantha to shriek and bury her face in Sam's shirt front. Her scream was lost admist others but the man looked straight out the window at the pair and then hit the front door running.
Taking off down the street, the killer made his getaway.
(Sam, I just threw this in for some drama. You can do what you wish with it. I was just trying to give some action to play off of.)

SamSam moved with Sammie and they made their way across the street. He kept looking around, trying to see if there was some kind of danger in the area. Everything looked perfectly fine though. Nodding again as she spoke he smirked at her a little. "No, I don't think you're nuts. Trust me on that one." His eyes followed hers as the looked back across the street at the coffee shop they had just left. One minute everything seemed good, the next all hell seemed to break loose.
Sam stood with his mouth dropped open as he watched what happened. He instinctively put an arm around Sammie's shoulders. Everything happened so quickly he didn't have time to react to anything else. Watching helplessly as the man who had just robbed the coffee shop and shot people ran off. Blinking in surprise he looked down at Sammie. "Did you know that was actually going to happen? Are you OK? You're shaking life a leaf." Tightening his arm around her. He started to walk with her. Back in the direction of her car. They needed to get out of there. "Come on, lets get back to your car. I think you need to get home."

"Oh hell...oh hell.. oh hell..." is all that Sammie could say as she stood gazing at the coffee shop across the street and felt herself begin to shake with the knowledge that they could very well have been in the line of fire had they stayed out on the patio of the shop. Strong arms held her as she tried to control herself but she finally heard words intrude through the midst of horror around her.
"Come on, lets get back to your car. I think you need to get home."
Nodding dumbly, the pretty brunette let him turn her back to the car and heard the sound of police cars in the distance. Paling she looked around and then at him.
"Ummm.. Should we wait for the authorities?"
Seeing the look on his face, she nodded.
"Your right... Lets go... I don't want to face it either...." she said tremulously.
Digging in her pocket, she found her car keys but was shaking so bad that she dropped them to the ground as they reached the mustang. When she picked them up, she gazed at them for a moment and then looked over at him.
"Would you mind driving? I would probably land us in a wreck if I got behind the wheel right now..."

SamSam guided her back to the car with his arm around her. He had a momentary bout of uneasiness when she stopped and asked about waiting for the police to arrive. Relieved when she decided against it. It wasn't that Sam was particularly worried about talking to the police, it just was easier to avoid them. They were to far away to have really seen anything anyway so it was just an unnecessary risk.
Making it to her car he watched as she dropped the keys. She had already bent down to pick them up before Sam could get them for her. He nodded when she asked if he would drive. Seeming like it was the best thing to do. Sammie didn't seem to be in any kind of shape to be driving at the moment. Sam helped her over to the passenger side and made sure she got situated in the seat before he closed the door and quickly walked around to the driver's side.
Sam opened the door and slid into the seat. Putting the key into the ignition and starting it up before he looked over to Sammie. She still looked as white as a sheet. He knew he had just met her but this was such a difference from the bubbly, outgoing girl he had met earlier that he was worried. "Uh... Just direct me where to go. Everything will be OK. I'll get you home safe. Don't worry Sammie." He waited for her to tell him which way to go. Once she made an indication he pulled out onto the street and followed her directions. It wasn't a long drive and they stayed mostly quiet except for Sammie's instructions on how to get to her place.

Sammie was grateful that her companion didn't try to keep up chit chat as they drove. Her head hurt and her stomach felt as if it might turn inside out. The events at the coffee shop still had her mind whirling and she didn't know what to make of anything. The fact that she'd KNOWN something was going to happen seemed to be a haunting factor in her life. This wasn't the first time and she knew it wouldn't be the last either. Sighing, she closed her eyes and leaned her head against the head rest as Sam drove.
Finally, they reached a quiet apartment complex that housed varies college kids and young couples. Gazing up at the darkness of her window, she suddenly did not want to be alone. Turning to her companion, she asked.
"You want to come up?? I ... I don't want to be alone just yet. I have some beer in the fridge or whiskey if you like...... "

SamSam pulled into the parking area of the apartment complex. He parked the car and they sat there in silence for a moment. Glancing over at Sammie he saw her look up at the building and then she asked if he wanted to go up with her. "Sure... I'll come up for awhile. A beer sounds good." Getting out of the car he walked around to the other side. He opened the door for her and offered his hand to help her out of the car. Letting her lead the way he followed her to her apartment. He was still a little worried about her so spending some time with her to make sure she was OK was fine with him. The incident had clearly shaken her up. He wanted to comfort her and tell her he knew a little something about what had happened. About seeing things before they happen but he wasn't sure if it was something she would want to talk about.

Nodding at his acceptance, Sammie took a deep breath and climbed from the car. Her hands were still shaking as she waited for him to join her and then took her keys from his hands. A flicker of something passed between them and she suddenly had the inspiration that he wasn't all he seemed either. Glancing up into his eyes, she thought she read hesitancy and worry there and frowned a bit.
"Hey... .Don't worry.. I dont' bite..." she teased, trying to lighten the moment a bit. "at least... not hard.... and not in circumstances like this..."
Letting a soft smile spread over her full lips, she turned and headed for the apartment door letting him make of that what he would. Quickly unlocking the outer door, she held it open for him and then proceeded up the three floors to her rooms. As she walked down the hall, a neighbor peeked out and greeted her and then her eyes got wide as she took in Sam's appearance behind Sammie.
"HEY SAM! Aaron stopped by! She said to tell you the girls are meeting down at the pub for drinks but I can call and tell her your ... um... busy... if you like"
Rolling her eyes, Sammie snorted.
"Thats Ok, Beth. I'll call her in a bit. Its been an eventful day... I think I will just stay in tonight. I dont' think I can handle anymore excitement of the kind she might get us into."
Smirking the other girl nodded and then gave her a thumbs up and a wiggle of her eyebrows that she obviously thought Sam couldn't see.
"OK.. Just relaying the message!"
Nodding, the pretty brunette stopped in front of her apartment door and unlocked it.
"Thanks! Talk to you later..... Sam, come on in."
Ignoring the puzzled look on her neighbors face, Sammie waved her companion into the apartment and then tossed her keys down as she looked around.
"Sorry about that..... You know how college places are.. We all seem to know each others business.... Nothing different here!"
Then, moving to the kitchen, she got two glasses down and poured them each a healthy drink before going back to join Sam.
"Here you go... hope its ok...." she said quietly, the shock still riding her hard.
(Hope my moving Sam to the apartment is ok.. if not, let me know and I can rewrite!)

SamSam gave her a soft smile as she tried to force herself to be upbeat again. He could see she was still shaken up. As they went through her apartment building making it up to her floor. Sam was taken aback a bit by one of her neighbors. He stood there a bit shyly as the woman gave him the once over with her eyes. His forehead wrinkled as his eyebrows raised when he saw from the corner of his eye the girl giving Sammie the thumbs up. He gave Sammie a questioning look and then shook his head. He nodded as she tried to explain. "Sorry about that..... You know how college places are.. We all seem to know each others business.... Nothing different here!" It seemed so long ago now that he had been back in college. But, he did remember what it was like. He tried not to think of that part of his life much. There was no going back. Things were different now.
Sam took a seat on the couch while Sammie went into the kitchen. He took a moment to look around her apartment. It seemed pretty normal. She had a lot of books scattered about. When she came back he took the glass she offered him. He took a sip from the glass. "Yeah... it's perfect. I think the events of the afternoon calls for some whiskey. Are you OK? You still seem a bit shaken." He looked at her closely. Her eyes weren't dancing and sparkling like they had before. Sipping on his drink he wondered if this happened to her a lot. Still not sure if he should say something or not. After a few moments of quiet he finally decided to say something. "Hey... I don't know if you want to talk about it or not. But, I don't think you're crazy or anything. I mean... What you don't know about me... Well... Let's just say you would be the one thinking I'm crazy. You could say I've had some experiences like you had today." Sam spoke softly to her. He sighed heavily after he got the words out. Then took another longer drink from his glass. Feeling the whiskey burn his throat on the way down and then that warm feeling as it hit his stomach.

"Yeah... it's perfect. I think the events of the afternoon calls for some whiskey. Are you OK? You still seem a bit shaken."
Shrugging, Sammie sank into the chair across from him and took a sip of her own drink. Closing her eyes, she let the burn travel down her throat before sighing.
"Hey... I don't know if you want to talk about it or not. But, I don't think you're crazy or anything. I mean... What you don't know about me... Well... Let's just say you would be the one thinking I'm crazy. You could say I've had some experiences like you had today."
Suprised, the pretty brunette stared at him a long moment before taking another gulp of her drink. She didn't know whether to be happy someone else experienced the same things or scared to death that she'd let him in her apartment. Deciding on the former, she eyed him and then took a deep breath.
"Well.... I guess that is nice to know. Normally, I don't tell anyone else about my preceptions but today I couldn't really hide it. Its been getting worse lately too. I don't know why but it seems as if the time span between them is getting shorter and shorter."
Reaching up, she brushed a long lock of hair from her face and sighed.
"Actually, it seems to run in my family.... Ever since I was little its happened but I've tried to ignore it. People used to look at me like I was some sort of freak when I use to tell them about my preminitions. My best friend ran away from me because of them....I told her I saw her not to get in a car because I knew I'd never see her again. She told me I was weirding her out and she did it anyways. Turned out... I was right."
Sammie didn't know why she was opening up to this man but she found herself strangely at ease with him. There was something so trustworthy about him that it was as if they had known each other far longer than one afternoon.
"How about you?"
