Blair was excited when Jess called her and invited her to a football party. She was more than happy to come. She promised to bring her specialty Peach Cobbler. Blair loaded up a few things into her 1969 El Camino and went to her bathroom to check her hair one more time. Making sure her Texas A & M jersey was spotless, she turned off all the lights in her cabin. Locking the door, then getting in her automobile, driving to where ever the directions took her.
Pulling up to a rather gigantic house, she saw a rather few cars parked near it. That’s when she saw her favorite hunter going towards the party. And that man she liked…..
Prime opportunity to scare Dakota. Blair parked her car quietly and gathered the stuff she brought which was her tote bag, peach cobbler morning glories and an ivy plant who whomever was hosting the party. Blair managed to pack the morning glories and the plant into the bag. Now left with the hanging ivy plant to carry.
Creeping behind them ever so silently. Once she got really close to Dakota, she made her move. She bumped into her on purpose, “Oh my, Opps.”
Blair smiled at Dakota, ”So, wolf man finally taking ya out huh? Nice of ya to let him off his leash.”
She grinned at her friend’s date,” I’m just kidding. Don’t get ya undies in a bunch.”[/color]

Curse was tossing the ball up and down and chatting with the others when he noticed Max approaching and heard his comment. Rolling his eyes a bit, he put a hand to his chest and drawled.
"You wound me, my friend.. you really do. I was thinking something more along the lines of letting you see to the woman's work and hogging all these good looking women to myself."
Then, casting his wife a look to show he was only joking around, then hunter smirked.
"Besides... Looks like you all ready are taking care of the babysitting duties! How is the little monster? Not taking after his mother any more than usual is he?"
From over Max's shoulder, Curse caught the look Lexi sent to him and grinned in wicked amusement.
"Sorry Lex! You know I can't help myself!"

A guy had to love it when ‘family’ coincided with the word ‘stalking.’
Pulling his stolen ’76 Camarro in front of a quaint little ranch style house, Dare couldn’t help but sit at the wheel for a minute, wondering what in Hell’s name he was doing there. From where he sat, he pretty much had two options:
A) Drive away, bring the smooth handling car to a chop owner he knew in Nevada and head on back to the fleabag motel he was currently staying at for a beer and some bad diner food. The upside to that one would be that he wouldn’t be crashing a party and getting all kinds of ‘who’s the schmo?’ looks…and, oh yeah, his sister wouldn’t be throwing things at his head. B) Or, the option his crazy head was probably going to go with, go into the party and hope to hell that Ilani had learned some degree of social decorum and would just glare at him from a distance.
All in all, there really wasn’t much of a choice to this one. He was in Louisiana to see his sister, who refused to talk to him without cursing, yelling or trying to bean him with various metal objects- who would’ve known that there’d be a ladle behind the goddamn bar?- and as such, there was only one thing to do with his life: Hound her until she broke.
Climbing out of the Camaro, he let his hand trail across the shiny red siding for a moment before heading toward the party. Voices could be heard from around the house, and he followed them with a slow, easy gait.
Hell, at least he’d come bearing beer and junk food. Nobody would turn him away when he came with greasy chips and cheap beer, right?
Right. It wasn’t like he hadn’t grabbed a shower the night before anyway. And he’d even been thoughtful enough to dress up in a clean-enough pair of jeans, sneakers and a long Disturbed tshirt. So he was presentable, at least…
Pausing on the threshold, Dare couldn’t help but eye the unfamiliar faces standing idly around, until they rested on Ilani…and ah, great, the schmuck that she was with. Damn, if he didn’t want to march over and wipe that sissy look off of their faces.
Thank Whoever for finding a second unexpected familiar face in the crowd. Well, wasn’t that the chick he’d met in the Silver Bullet a few weeks back? Eyeing Blair, he set his food on the table.
What an unexpected surprise…that, ultimately, worked in his favor. Sweet, now if the party goers came up to ask him who the hell he was, he’d just point to the dark haired woman and dredge up a lie.
Perfect.

Dakota waited for Caleb to dismount the bike first before she did the same, pulling her plat free from her jacket she tilted her head slightly and turned to face Caleb hoping that now they were finally here he’d fill her in on the hunt.
“And try not to kill anyone in here? Some of this people are my friends. Now let’s just have some fun and play a little football. That’s why we are here, right?”
She looked at him dumbfounded, friends? football? Fun? What the hell was he going on about? It took a moment for Dakota’s confused brain to put together the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle. He’d conned a ride off her to get to a friends party, she was angry that he’d deceived her in order to get her to give him a lift, she still would have helped him out even if it wasn’t for a hunt, they were friends after all or at least that’s what she thought. The previous weekend at the murder mystery weekend where they had been hunting the ghosts had been a little confusing and after what had happened she hadn’t expected to hear from him again but had been pleasantly surprised when he’d rang for her help in giving him a lift, now however she felt more like kicking his ass.
Caleb turned and began to walk off before Dakota had a chance to respond, hurrying after him she caught up and grabbed him by the arm, ” Caleb don’t you walk off on me after you deliberately misled me. Why didn’t you just ask if you needed a lift to a friend’s house? What do you think I have a one-track mind and would only show if I thought it was a hunt. I’m not bitch you know, I can help out a friend.” she was more hurt than angry with him, she thought he’d just used her for a ride. Dakota wasn’t sure if she should stay or leave but before she could make up her mind someone bumped into her.
“Oh my, Opps.”
Dakota turned to see if the other person was OK and Blair smiled back at her, ”So, wolf man finally taking ya out huh? Nice of ya to let him off his leash.”
Blair’s words left her flustered and embarrassed, she wasn’t on any date, god she hoped Caleb hadn’t heard her words he’d laugh his head off at the very thought. Her voice dropped to a whisper as she hastily explained to her friend, ”No, no we’re not on a date, Caleb just needed a lift….that’s all.”
” I’m just kidding. Don’t get ya undies in a bunch.”
Dakota grimaced slightly as Blair spoke to Caleb and she quickly changed the subject, ”So what are you doing here Blair? Friends of your’s too?" It was then she noticed all the stuff Blair was bogged down carrying,” Gee, what are moving in or something? Here let me give you a hand with that. Dakota said offering to take some of the load for her friend.

Bobby barely waited for the other man to park the paneled truck in the closest spot to the house Treb could find before he slammed open the door; jumped out; moved around to the back end; and threw open the doors. ”Damn tire. I knew that if we didn’t get here early we would end up lugging this stuff farther than we needed too.”
Treb grinned at the hunter’s grumpy mood answering, ”It’s only another 20 yards and I have the dollie so it’s not like you have to carry them, Unless you want too.” the shifter teased with a dry tone that left Bobby huffing with a grin of his own.
The two men then silently loaded the dollie with a half a dozen boxes of fresh beef steaks and another half dozen boxes randomly marked, Chicken, Buffalo, Reindeer, Emu, Swordfish and Coho Salmon.
”Hope Jo and Curse have freezer room cause I don’t think we will eat all of this today, but I didn’t want to run out either.” Bobby added as he dumped the last box on the stack.
Treb nodded his agreement as he began moving the stack towards the back of the house, ”I got it. You go tell The Jordan’s they have a delivery.”
”Sure.” Bobby acknowledged before he picked up his stride and went to find Jo. As he rounded the corner of the house he saw her and called. ”Treb and I are here with the meat delivery as promised. We had a flat tire or we would have been here sooner.”

Ok, so trying to get to a crowded place before she got the urge to scowl at him and maybe kick his ass didn’t work. Caleb decided right then that he better do some fast talking when she grabbed his arm and forced him to face her.
In truth, yes, he doubted that she would come if it wasn’t a hunt. Not for the ride part, he had a feeling she would. But he didn’t believe that she would accept if he asked her to go with him as if in a date.
“You can honestly say that if I invited to come along with me, not for the ride, to just come along, you would? Besides, I never told you that it was a hunt, you assumed that automatically. I only told you I needed to get to a place in a hurry, and you need to loosen up a bit, huntress.”
Now that would be the part she would agree with him and tag along…or kick his ass and leave. But before she said anything, Caleb noticed a familiar scent and smirked even before he saw her bump into Dakota. Blair, the wolf had started to like the girl back at the Montelone hotel, and now even more. He would like her even more if she hadn’t made that leash comment but he was thankful that she might be saving his ass right there.
But if Dakota didn’t want for him to hear his next words, she shouldn’t be whispering right next to a werewolf with fully working enhanced senses like hearing. Bursting into laughter, he turned his gaze towards Blair. “Hey Blair, welcome to the party. Didn’t knew you were a friend of the Jordans. And don’t mind Dakota, she is just mad at me because I conned her into coming over here to have some fun.”
Taking her bag, Caleb slipped a hand around Blair’s waist and whispered for her help before starting to pull her along and gaze back over his shoulder to Dakota.
“Come on slowpoke, we’re missing all the fun!”

Having moved from the table where she'd set down the goodies she'd brought, Natalya now stood to one side, watching as others arrived. Some she thought she recognized from The Silver Bullet, but with as many people as she'd met there and all the faces she'd seen, she wasn't really sure who she knew and who she didn't. So, to keep herself from getting too nervous, she put on a nice smile as people came up.
Of course, on the outside, Natalya was all smiles, but on the inside, she was as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. She was slowly realizing that she didn't know a lot of these people. And with the names coming one right after the other, she wasn't sure whether or not she was going to be able to commit them all to memory. It wasn't like Natalya to be nervous like this; she was a huntress, but this was a social situation not a demon hunt. And right this second, she would have given her right arm to be on a demon hunt, but she'd needed some R&R and this seemed like the best way to do it.
((Srry for the short post. Muse seems to be having trouble.))

Dakota looked a little flustered at her comment. Her voice dropped to a whisper, ”No, no we’re not on a date, Caleb just needed a lift….that’s all.” Blair looked disappointed and smirked at her,” Oh, you stood of let his ass walk here. He better have invited you to come..”
Her hunter friend continued on, ”So what are you doing here Blair? Friends of your’s too. Gee, what are moving in or something? Here let me give you a hand with that. “ Dakota took some of the things from Blair’s hands.
She shook her head, “Um no actually Jessie invited me….She said they needed more to play football and well. I LOVE football…So I had to come, that’s why I have an ivy plant it’s for the Jordan’s.”
“Hey Blair, welcome to the party. Didn’t knew you were a friend of the Jordans. And don’t mind Dakota, she is just mad at me because I conned her into coming over here to have some fun.”
Blair rolled her eyes at Caleb she resisted the urge to slap his head for stupidity. She glared at him, “Well if you just invited her instead of trickery. She actually would be happy and she does know how to have fun. Right D?”
Taking her bag, Caleb slipped a hand around Blair’s waist and whispered for her help before starting to pull her along and gaze back over his shoulder to Dakota.
Blair nodded to Caleb and whispered, “Don’t do anything too drastic or she will flee. No girlfriend introducing to friends….And no embarrassing her in public. You have my help.”
“Come on slowpoke, we’re missing all the fun!”
She turned slightly to look at D. Winking at her friend,” He gets outta line…Just tell me, I’ll get him for ya.”
Blair looked at the massive yard and the people. She got a weird feeling in her stomach….Blair knew that instant Treb was somewhere near. She nudged Caleb with her elbow, ”Caleb,my Tiggy senses are tingling.”

Dakota just scoffed at Caleb’s remark about her needing to loosen up a bit and she tried to ignore him as she turned her attentions to Blair, taking some of the woman’s load to help her in, why on earth had Blair brought so much stuff? Blair mentioned that Jess was there and Dakota’s spirits perked up a bit, she hadn’t seen her new friend in a while and had been wondering how she was doing of late. At least she’d know a couple of people her so it might not be too bad.
”I keep meaning to ring Jess to see how she is,” Dakota said to Blair as she laughed slightly, ”I guess now I won’t have too.”
She watched as Caleb took Blair’s bag and whispered something too her before looking back and telling her to hurry up, Dakota just shook her head and hurried to catch up to them as they began to walk off.
As she entered the yard, Dakota could see quite a few faces had gathered and she felt decidedly uncomfortable, social gatherings weren’t really her thing, just give her a tub of choc ice cream, a good DVD and a comfy couch and she was all set. Although she had to admit she did get lonely now she didn’t have her family to share it with but she really wasn’t one much for parties, so she just hung back and continued to follow the others in.

Max laughed softly at Curse’s comment and glanced at his kid in his arms as the little one squeezed daddy’s finger in his tiny hands. “Don’t worry Jo, like the women will pay him any attention with me and Sebastian around!”
Casting a smirk to Jo, Max turned back to Curse to greet his friend and then raise a brow when he mentioned about the kid taking after Lexi. “Better taking after his mommy than a guy known as Curse, wouldn’t you say?” he asked in a playful tone. If little Bastian took after his mommy, he would be a great man.
“What about the twins? Hope they are taking after their mother…” he continued with the same playful tone before he moved to greet the others while the proud daddy smile never left his lips that didn’t diminish even a little when he turned back to his wife a moment later.
“Honey, I think Bastian needs a little mother and son bonding time…and a fresh diaper.”

Looking at Blair, Caleb couldn’t resist to smile, the young woman was growing on him since that first time they met back at the hotel and the wolf was discovering he enjoyed her company.
“I’m always at my best behavior Blair,” he told her with a smirk. Well, that was his best behavior after all, he wasn’t running around growling at people and ripping off body parts just for fun anymore…for most of the time at least.
“Jess? As in Jess Coulter? If so I know her and that annoying jerk she calls a boyfriend.”
Arriving to where the others were, Caleb smiled at the Jordans and left Blair’s side to place the pack of chips and beer he had brought on the table along with Blair’s bag he had been holding.
“Hello Curse, Mrs. Jordan,” he nodded to the blonde respectfully, “Thanks for the invite. You guys know Blair? And this one hiding in the back there is Dakota.” He added with a smile and allowed them to greet while his eyes scanned the unfamiliar faces.

JoJo continued to go around greeting the guests as they came around. Feeling a little bit overwhelmed. She'd never played the domestic hostess before. Never having a real home of her own like this. So she tried to look at it like working at the bar. Greeting people, giving them a nod here and there. Maybe a quick conversation or a hug if she knew them well enough.
Suddenly it seemed the place was buzzing with people milling about. She saw Sam give her a wave and waved back at him and his pretty dark haired girlfriend Sammie. Then suddenly Bobby and another man were there. Her eyes went wide at the sight of the amount of meat they had brought with them. She quickly gave them some directions and waved them to the area where the barbecue was going to be set up.
Bouncing around from place to place Jo saw Lexi and Max coming from across the property. She saw them make their way over to where Curse was so she started moving that direction as well.
Jo waved and greeted the pair. Giving Curse a bit of a look when Lexi mentioned playing football since she had only just confessed to Curse earlier that she hadn't actually played the game before. She was going to have to rely on her limited television viewing of the game.
Rolling her eyes a bit as Max and Curse got into some friendly bickering back and forth about playing the game. When Curse made a comment about "...hogging all these good looking women to myself." Jo narrowed her eyes at her husband and punched him lightly in the arm. Just giving him a hard time as she knew he was just teasing. More banter was traded back and forth between the two men as the subject turned to the babies.
Jo leaned down and looked at Bastian in his carrier. He was almost five months old now. She was amazed at how fast he seemed to have grown. Jo shook her head and let out an exaggerated exasperated breath when Max called to Lexi. “Honey, I think Bastian needs a little mother and son bonding time…and a fresh diaper.” She gave Max a look and then turned to Lexi and raising her eyebrows. She couldn't help but laugh though. "Geez Max, even after almost five months you pawn off the diaper changing duty? Anyway... If you want to take him into the house my mother is watching the twins. She said it wouldn't be a problem if you wanted to leave Bastian in there with them." Jo wrapped her arms around her husband and took a moment to lean against him. Glad to be there talking to Lexi and Max. Getting a break from running around greeting people and helping get everything set up. There was enough food there to feed an army now and with all the people arriving it DID seem like an army.
As she relaxed for a moment with her husband she saw a short dark haired man approach with two dark haired women. She smiled as he approached. It was Caleb. He was one of the men who was on Derek's team that rescued Curse. She would be forever grateful to the man. Caleb made his greeting and then introduced his friends. One of them was familiar. Jo remembered meeting her at the Silver Bullet awhile back. Several months ago when she was still heavily pregnant. "Hello Caleb, it's good to see you. And it's nice to meet you as well Blair. Dakota? I remember you. You came into the Silver Bullet a few months back. I was pretty big then, still pregnant with the twins. If I recall... there was a pretzel licking incident." Jo chuckled at the memory. This idiot at the bar who had decided to lick all the pretzels in the bowl and then put them back. Jo had gone off on him, dragging him out of the bar by his ear.

Smirking at Max's remark to his wife, Curse shook his head and then nodded at all the others joining in. From the corner of his eye, he saw Bobby stroll in with another guy loaded down with boxes. The labels on the stated they were various kinds of steaks and his eyes grew a bit round as he wondered just how hungry these people were going to be when the game was over. However, grinning easily, he waved at them as Jo took care of everything.
Greeting the other guests warmly, the lean ex soldier teased and tormented until it looked like everyone was there and things were starting to come together. Soon, there was a pack around them and he put an arm casually around his wife as he counted numbers.
"All right! Listen up, ya'll! Its time to get this party started! How do you wanna do this? Should we pick captains and choose teams or just do a battle of the sexes? Ladies against Gents?"
Tossing the ball up and down in one hand, he watched everyone began to rib each other and tease. A loud whistle was required to get everyones attention again.
"We have a few people here who have never played the game before so to make it easy for them..... The object is to take the ball to the opposite side of the field and not let anything grab your flag out of your back pocket. If a team member has the ball and is running, you try to help protect that person from anyone wanting to steal that flag. Pretty simple."
Looking around, the handsome hunter smirked as winked at his wife.
"Since there are ladies involved, there will be no above the waist grabbing..." he declared before dropping his voice for Jo. " unless you're married to said woman, then all bets are off."

Pulling Sam and Sammie along after greeting them, Lexi moved to Max and then rolled her eyes as he announced Bastian's need for a diaper change. Shaking her head, she smiled warmly at the brunette before excusing herself to take care of Bastian. By the time she returned, Curse was talking about teams and she slipped up behind Max to wrap her arms around his middle and peek over his shoulder.
"Hmmmmmm.... Here I was looking forward to tackle football!" she teased softly into her husbands ear. "Darn... maybe we should go home now?"
Then catching the low words Curse muttered to his wife, she started to snicker. Shaking her head, she called out.
"I think we ladies can take you boys on..... What do you all think?"
Moving away from her dark haired lover, the blond swatted the ball out of the other hunters hand and caught it casually with her other. Her eyes danced with mischief as she smirked and placed a hand on a hip to wait.

Stifling a laugh at Jo’s words, Max corrected her. “I’m not pawning off the diaper duty, I’m just strategically sidestepping it.”
It wasn’t like he hadn’t make it through over way more than a dozen of diaper changes and lived to tell the tale, but he still didn’t looked forward to the next one. And there was always the excuse that mommy did it far better than daddy. Almost never worked, but he kept it a constant.
Shooting a grateful smile to his wife when she took Bastian to handle the diaper duty, Max spent the next minutes greeting the others around. Sam, Sammie, Natalya, Konada…he still remembered the whole phone incident with her on the club, even though she seemed not to remember him, Blair, Dakota and even a short guy named Caleb.
But his attention was snatched back to his wife as she wrapped her arms around him and he moved his hands over hers with a grin. Her whisper however, didn’t fail to ignite a spark of the desire he always felt when she spoke on this tone with him.
“Now that isn’t fair baby,” he whispered back in the same tone, “Just don’t complain if I throw you on my shoulder and run away with you.”
Then shaking his head as if to silence the thoughts of it in his mind, he turned his gaze towards the others. “Is that so? Then in what team Curse would play?” he teased his friend raising a brow.
