Giving the blond woman a smile and then chatting for a moment, Sammie fidgeted nervously before Lexi left to take her baby inside. Glancing at Sam, she leaned into him and then watched as everyone seemed to gather around the sandy haired hunter that seemed to be in charge. Another blond woman nodded at them but it wasn't someone she was familiar with at the moment.
"OK..... Your going to have to point everyone out to me... I'm afraid I don't recongize a soul here except for Lexi..." she whispered before an older gentleman approached with boxes of what looked like meat. "Oh wow... are they planning on feeding an army?" she asked with a little laugh.
As the blond woman hurried over to direct the man, the pretty brunette bit her bottom lip and took a deep breath. Lexi came bustling back out of hte house and skipped over to where a good looking, dark haired man stood ribbing the other man. As she slipped her arms around his waist, Sammie decided that must be Max Blair. The pair really were a cute couple with all her golden energy and his dark and dangerous aura. In fact, everyone at this part seemed to ooze danger. Suddenly, she was really glad she was with Sam since he offered some protection from the storm, so to speak. He was her rock in this world she wasn't quiet sure about.
Turning to Sam, she tugged at his hand.
"Guess this is as good of a time as any, isn't it?" she teased with a smile.

Dakota followed quietly behind Caleb and Blair, still carrying some of Blair’s things as they made their way into the yard. They stopped as Caleb began to speak to someone and Dakota glanced around the yard at all the unfamiliar faces, she was beginning to feel very uncomfortable. Dressed head to foot in her black bike leathers she felt terribly out of place. She noticed that Blair had brought food and that there was a lage table filled with an assortment of items that others had obviously brought along and Dakota just wanted to shrink into a hole, she brought nothing.
She heard Caleb mention her name and Dakota stepped around to the side of Blair and nodded in acknowledgement as she said ”Hello” to the couple. As she took in their faces she realised the blond woman looked familiar but could quite place her until she mentioned the Silver Bullet bar, the pretzel licker and the…….pregnant with twins. Dakota’s eyes shot immediately to the woman’s stomach, ”They escaped!! she suddenly blurted out as she glanced around in shear terror at the thought of someone about to shove two babies onto her at any second. The coast was clear for now and she turned her attention quickly back to the nice couple who by now probably thought she was a little on the crazy side.”Um..er….escaped….I um meant they ..Ventured out into the world.” she gave the couple a weak smile, hoping she didn’t cause any offence, it was just babies were number three on her most scary list. Dakota actually did in fact love kids, it kinda helped that she was an overgrown kid herself. She just couldn’t cope with babies, she didn’t even know how to hold one, their diapers smelt worse than a toxic waste dump, that spat up a venom like substance and they looked like little alien creatures that had escaped from a B grade horror movie.
After a while an announcement was made that a football game was about to begin and Dakota wandered over to a nice quite corner on the sde lines well away from the tempting food and sat on the grass to observe the proceedings.

Truth be told, Ilani really wasn’t as nervous as she’d originally thought she’d be. For a girl who’d just began dating a really drool-worthy guy to be asked to a gathering of people she’d never met…well, it was definitely cause for some nausea moments.
Yet, as she stood there and smiled at various unfamiliar faces, waving and introducing herself, she couldn’t help but feel oddly comfortable. Hell, she’d chalk it up to doing the exact same thing every night at the club. Guests of The Pit were considered family, after all, and she took the meet’n’greet portion of every opening personally.
With a grin, a wave and a ‘hi, I’m Ilani!’ at Jo, Lexi, and Nat, she caught sight of a certain shifter and crooked a finger with a wide smile.
“Well, compliments will get you everywhere. Hello, Mr. Sexy Pants.” Sauntering over to Derek, her smile slipped just a bit as she wondered if teasing a man in front of his friends was such a good idea. Oh snap, probably not.
Yeesh. Social etiquette was different from bar etiquette. Note to self: just be quiet and look pretty.
Mentally rolling her eyes at herself, she introduced herself to Curse and Max, waved at Caleb- finally, a familiar face that wasn’t Derek’s!- Dakota and Blair, and immediately let loose a whoop when it was announced that the game was about to start.
“Hell yeah, we’re gonna whip some butts!” She said, grinning at Lexi as she shoved some imaginary sleeves up. “Girls rule, y’all know it. Anybody got any face paint?”

JoJo chuckled as Dakota exclaimed "They escaped", referring to the twins being born. Then she shook her head and assured the women that the babies were safely off in the house being taken care of by Jo's mother.
A little more mingling and chit chat and then Curse suddenly announce that they should get down to the business at hand, football. A brief explanation of the object of the game and the rules, such as they were. Jo grinned at him when he whispered his suggestive comment to her. There were some murmurs in the crowd that seemed to reveal that some of the other couples had the same idea.
Then Lexi chimed in with the idea of it being a battle of the sexes. Girls against the guys. Jo chuckled and nodded in agreement. "I vote for that too. We are so going to kick those guys asses." Giving her husband a suggestive wink. As everyone seemed to be in agreement or at least there were no objections voiced, it seemed the basics had been established.
Jo quickly ran over to a box that was inside the barn and brought it back out to the crowd. She started handing out long scraps of fabric that they had fashioned into what would be their "flags". Making sure everyone that was going to play had one she set the box back off to the side.
Quickly then Jo pointed out a cordoned off area of the yard. Gesturing with her hands, showing everyone the playing field. Then she looked around at everyone gathered around. "All right! Enough standing around, let's get to it! Game ON!" Giggling madly Jo poked Curse in the ribs with her elbow and then snatched the ball away from Lexi playfully and took off at a run to the field. Stopping when she got to the middle of the field she turned around watching for the rest to make their way over. Smirking she kept tossing the ball up into the air and catching it.

Derek stood to the side and watched everyone all the while keeping an eye on Lani. When she crooked her finger at him, he arched a brow and smiled like the wicked wolf he was. However, before he could make a move, Curse was announcing the start of the game and the ladies were shuffling around with playful intent. Jo ran off for a moment and then returned to hand everyone little scraps of material for the "flags" and Derek grinned as Lani tucked hers in her waistline. Oh yeah... Like he was going to stop at a flag when he got the chance? Not in this life time baby.
Then, the sexes were dividing and Derek looked at Caleb, Curse, Max and Sam. His eyes twinkled as he gave a mock groan.
"You know those women arn't going to play fair, right? Not to mention... We are outnumbered. WHere the hell is your brother, Sam? I thought he was showing up??"
Turning on his heel, he jogged out on the field with his teammates and looked around.
"By the way, whos QB'ing?"

After a few introductions, Caleb’s gaze moved to the ball. Call it instinctive animal reaction, but he felt the urge to take it as the wolf and run away just for the fun of it. He was a wolf after all, at least part of him was.
And then his eyes fell on Ilani, a familiar face and a welcomed distraction from the animal instinct, he wasn’t a dog after all and he refused to act as such. Waving back at her, he smiled when he saw Derek next to her. So his instincts weren’t wrong when he felt his scent lingering on her. Good for both of them, Derek was a great guy and Ilani was quickly becoming one of his favorite people.
Giving a small smile to the others before he turned to follow Derek into the field, he whispered to Dakota “Ok huntress, trying to rip off my clothes or use those handcuffs to stop me is a no go, you hear?” he teased her and followed the men.
“Now Derek, don’t tell me you’re afraid of a few girls?” he teased the other wolf and grinned, “By the way boss, congrats on your companion. I had a few drinks on her bar one night…and she is ok. I don’t know if you mentioned your animal side to her, but I think she would take it well if you’re concerned about it.”

The engine growled angrily as Ryan skidded up to the curb, parking his motorcycle next to the other cars lined up in front of the house. His nerves were on edge, literally, as he was unsure just what he was walking into here. After having that "talk" with Derek, the Ranger had later called him and invited him to this little barbecue being held at Curse Jordan's place of residence. It was a chance for him to meet, in person, the man he'd risked his life to save. Well, technically, he had met Curse in person before. At that time however, he just hadn't exactly been...conscious.
Shaking off his nervousness, he turned off the engine, and slid his keys into his pocket as he took a few long stride toward the house. He could hear voices coming from the backyard, so he headed around the side of the house, spotting the open gate that presumably led to the backyard where everyone was.
"Well...it's now or nothing..." Ryan whispered to himself, forcing his feet forward. It wasn't like he was stepping into a Hornet's nest here, right? This was just going to be a simple night to relax, and get to know the man he'd saved. Sure, he wanted to find out why it had been so important to save Curse, but he'd save that for another night.
He rounded the gate and spotted a fair crowd of stranger in the back yard, with thankfully a few familiar faces. Derek and surprisingly Caleb were there, as well as Curse. For a second, Ryan almost didn't recognize Curse now that he wasn't, well, beaten to a bloody pulp.
Chuckling nervously, Ryan gave a short waves as some glances turned to face him. "Um...hey?" he grinned casually.

Smirking at everyones comments and then is wife's actions, Curse trotted on to the field. As he did so he razed Derek and then saw another vaguely familiar figure walk into the backyard. Eyeing him for a moment, he smiled and waved.
"Hey Moretti. DeVoux said you might be joining us. Come on over and meet everyone." he shouted out before looking around and laughing. "All though... I cant even keep all the new names straight. You know Derek... "
Moving to his brides side, he slipped an arm around her and continued.
"This gorgeous lady is my wife, Jo... The crazy chick over there is Derek's date.... Max and Lexi Blair.... Caleb, one of his bouncers... Sam and his date.....I'm afraid I haven't been introduced to the two stunning ladies there... I think they are friends of Jessie Coulters... Who hasn't shown herself yet either..."
With his voice trailing off helplessly, the hunter grinned.
"How about I just let everyone introduce themselves? We were just about to start playing some football... You game?"
